Thank you for your interest in our company. The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. In principle, it is possible to use our website without providing any personal data. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal regulations (GDPR, Tellecomunication Law 2003). In the context of this data protection information we are informing you about the most important aspects of data processing on our website.

 

1)    Data Processing
In the course of your visit to our website, we collect the date and time of your visit, your IP address, name and version of your web browser, subwebsites, the provider system cookies, which are absolutely necessary for your Internet experience on our website, as well as the cookies mentioned below, and any personal data which you yourself provide by filling out the contact form.

 

2)    Data storage and data transfer to third parties
All personal data that we collect from you during your visit to our website is kept with the utmost care and is generally stored for a period of three months. Longer storage only takes place if this is necessary to investigate detected attacks on our website.
The data that we process when you contact us by e-mail or via one of our contact forms will only be used by us for the purpose of processing your enquiry and will generally be stored for seven years, unless we are obliged by law to keep your data for a longer period of time.
Since we are not only active in Austria, but also in Germany, Italy, Switzerland and several Eastern countries, data is also transmitted to affiliated companies for the purpose of order processing. If necessary for the purpose of contract processing or for billing purposes, the data will be transferred to third parties. However, we only transfer your personal data to countries for which the EU Commission has decided that they have an adequate level of data protection or take measures to ensure that all recipients have an adequate level of data protection.
Of course your data will be treated with the highest confidentiality and apart from these points will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.


3)    Purpose of the Privacy Statement
We use your personal data
•    to provide you with the website and to further improve and develop this website;
•    to compile usage statistics;
•    to detect, prevent and investigate attacks on our website;
•    to answer your inquiries and to be able to fulfil initiated contractual relationships.

 

4)    Basis of Data Processing
Unless you have given your consent by default in your browser anyway pursuant to Art 6 para 1 lit a GDPR, the legal basis for the processing of your personal data is our overriding interest pursuant to Art 6 para 1 lit f GDPR, which consists of achieving the above-mentioned purposes or, in the case of an already concluded contract or in the pre-contractual stage, Art 6 para 1 lit b GDPR.

 

5)    Cookies
Our website uses so called cookies. These are small harmless text files. They are stored on your end device with the help of the browser in order to make our offer user-friendly. In order to recognize your browser on your next visit, some cookies remain stored on your end device until they are deleted.

6)    Collection of general data and information
Each time you visit our website, general data and information is collected in order to ensure that our website is executed correctly, to optimise it and to ensure its proper functioning. For you, it is important to know that no personal data is involved and that no specific person can be determined. This can be the following data: The type of browser used and the version, the operating system, the website from which it is accessed.

 

7)    econda Analysis Software
In order to optimize our website and to design it according to requirements, we have concluded a contract with econda GmbH for web analysis. With the help of solutions and technologies, econda GmbH collects and stores anonymous data. It uses this data to create user profiles that, like the IP addresses, are pseudonymous. The user profiles are not merged with data of the pseudonym without express consent. The use of pseudonymized data is based on the provisions of § 15 paragraph 3 German Telecommunication Law. Cookies are also used in this context to recognize your Internet browser.
If you do not wish to have your data collected and stored, you can object to this at any time in the future. The objection only applies to the specific device and the web browser on which it was set. Please repeat the process on all devices if necessary. As soon as you delete the opt-out cookie, requests are sent to econda again

8)    Google Tag Manager
On our website we use the “Google Tag Manager”, a service from Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, Barrow St, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter referred to as "Google"). With the Google Tag Manager we - as marketer - can manage website tags via an interface. The Tag Manager itself, which manages the tags, works without cookies and does not record personal data. The Google Tag Manager only serves for the triggering of other tags, which in some circumstances can record data. The Google Tag Manager does not use these data. If you have deactivated cookies, this will be respected by all tracking tags that are used with the Google Tag Manager, which means, that this tool does not change your cookie settings.

 

9)    Use of IP Addressess
Your IP address is recorded when you visit our website, but is immediately pseudonymised by deleting the last four digits. This means that we can recognize from which country our website was accessed, but not from which device. This also means that no identifiable person can be determined.

 

10)    SSL Encryption
We use appropriate encryption methods (e.g. SSL) according to the current state of the art in order to guarantee the security of your data.

 

11)     Social Media
We are also represented in social networks such as Facebook, Xing and Google. No data is currently collected via Facebook and Google.


Facebook
Facebook, a social network, is an online social meeting place, an online community. Users can communicate with each other via this platform and interact in virtual space. Facebook is also used to share opinions and experiences. As a company, we use Facebook to provide the community with company-related information.
Facebook is operated by Facebook Inc, 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA. The party responsible for processing personal data if a data subject lives outside the USA or Canada is Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland.

Xing
Xing is an Internet-based social network that enables users to maintain existing business contacts and make new business contacts. To do this, users create a personal profile. Via Xing, we use a Talent Manager, where open vacancies are stored. Users who are open for offers or job changes will be contacted if they are suitable.

Daylightblog
We are also represented online via a daylight blog (http://www.daylightblog.com). This includes small reports about HELLA, our products and general topics about sun and weather protection. You can contact us via a contact form. Your name and e-mail address will be saved in order to process your request accordingly. Of course, your data will be treated confidentially.


12)     Sales information
You can subscribe to our sales information via the website. For this purpose, we need your e-mail address and your declaration that you agree to receiving this information. As soon as you have registered for the sales info, you will receive an e-mail with a link to confirm your registration.
You can cancel the information subscription at any time. You only need to click on the "unsubscribe" button in one of the e-mails. We will immediately delete your data in connection with the sales information newsletter.


13)     Retailer research
We have stored contact details in our system for specialist dealers who have agreed to be included in our list in order to show you the specialist dealer closest to your current location by means of the specialist dealer search. We use Google Maps, operated by Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, to find the dealers around your current location. 14)     Your Rights
As a general rule, you have the rights to information, correction, deletion, restriction, data transferability, revocation and objection. We will be pleased to inform you at any time about your personal data stored upon your written request.
Should we have made a mistake while storing the data, please inform us about it. We will correct the data immediately and inform you about it.
If you do not wish your data to be stored further, you are entitled to request its deletion at any time. You will be informed about the current status immediately after deletion. Data for billing and accounting purposes are not affected by a request for deletion. If one of these exceptions applies to your data, we will of course inform you.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection claims have otherwise been violated in any way, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority.


15)     Automated Decision Making
As a responsible company, we refrain from automatic decision-making or profiling.
