Operation

Please operate the lift tape evenly without tearing at it. If you feel resistance, first check if obstacles prevent free movement. Before activating the electric drive, please ensure that the slats can move freely.
Your vertical blind is maintenance-free.

Should the slats or the linking chains loosen themselves through wind or excessive load, they are easy to re-hang.

Cleaning and care

The slats can be cleaned by wiping them with hand-hot water. If all slats need to be cleaned, rinse them in hand-hot water; do not scrub them or wring them out. Re-hang them while in a wet state.

A thorough clean-up after longer use or in case of heavy dirtying can be carried out by a specialist cleaning company. We will give you the name of the company if requested.

To clean the coated parts (top rail) as well as the plastic parts, wipe clean with hand-hot water and a neutral cleaning agent (soap based).

Do not use solvent and alcohol (methylated spirits)!

Vertical slats made of Trevira CS

It is possible to clean slats made of Trevira CS in a washing machine (the low flammability remains).

Cleaning: Loosen the distance chain, remove the weighting plates and unhinge the slats from the hook. Put the slats that are loosely rolled (max. 10 pieces) in a curtain net and wash them in the washing machine; choose the washing programme „delicates up to max. 30° without spin-drying „, add some mild detergent, if desired. After washing, hook-in the wet slats into the slat hooks. If necessary, steam-iron the slats slightly. Insert the weighting plates and hook-in the distance chains.

Additional tips

The slats of your vertical blinds have been checked by extensive quality controls. However, each fabric can have differences in surface uniformity; perhaps you will find small knobs or minimal differences in colours between the different slats or differences in colours with regard to the collections of samples.

These differences are not faults, which have been overseen in the testing, but they are unavoidable due to technical reasons.

Attention:

A closed vertical blind does not protect children from falling out of the window!

Inappropriate loads affect the function and safety of your vertical blind. The guarantee is no longer valid in case of incorrect operation and improper use!
