The red dot design award is an internationally accepted competition; this award, the red dot, is much valued among the experts as quality seal for good design. With more than 12,000 applications from 60 nations the red dot design award is one of the largest design competitions in the world.

The cassette awning "SHAN" with the Shadelab design of the current awning programme received the red dot product design award 2010.
