Operation

Awnings with crank handle operation
Operate the awning evenly and without the use of force. Hold the crank handle at breast height, the crank hook should transfer the force onto the eyelet without bending.

You will need less effort and lessen the wear on the drive.

Electrically operated awnings
The awning must be able to run freely. Especially if it is operated by an automatic device.

It is not allowed to use only automatic devices to control the system, if your are absent for extended periods of time (e.g. holidays), because the security of the system can not be guaranteed.

Attention!
The thermal cut-off switch could respond if the blind is operated a number of times in succession; the motor stops. Wait a few minutes, the switch releases operation when the motor has cooled down sufficiently.

If a fault occurs during a thunderstorm (indirect lightening strike), function can be restored by switching the circuit breaker (fuse) off and then on.

Technically speaking, our awnings are maintenance-free.

Cleaning and care

For cleaning the coated elements such as the frame, arms, hem bar or plastic parts wipe clean with hand-hot water and a neutral cleaning agent (soap based).

Please: Do not use solvent and alcohol (methylated spirits). Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.

Additional tips

Before operating the awning ensure that no obstacles (branches, leaves) are caught in the guide rails or lying on the awning cover.

If the unit is operated during winter, it must be ensured that ice and snow do not block moving parts. In case of sudden snowfall the awning must be retracted immediately. If any snow is lying on the cover, it must be removed before retracting the unit. Frozen covers must be thawed and dried before being retracted.

If possible do not retract the awning in a wet state. If it becomes necessary during a sudden shower, have the awning subsequently dried in an extended state.

The inclination of the awning arms can be adjusted in a range from approximately 6° to 30°.

Attention!
An awning is a system to provide protection from the sun and should therefore be retracted with rain, snow, thunderstorm or strong wind.

Inappropriate loads affect the function and safety of the awning. The guarantee is no longer valid in case of incorrect operation and improper use.
