Before operating the blind make sure it is free to move.
Be careful: the blind can sustain damage if it is blocked (e.g. formation of ice) or stops abruptly (e.g. by obstacles in the window when lowering.
Blinds with pull cord Avoid tearing at the cord or letting the blind drop in an uncontrolled fashion.
Blinds with crank handle Buckle the handle only in the correct direction. Operate the drive evenly and without the use of force.
Electrically operated blinds A reminder: the blind must run freely. Especially if it is operated by an automatic device.
The thermal cut-off switch could respond if the blind is operated a number of times in succession; the motor stops. Wait a few minutes, the switch releases operation when the motor has cooled sufficiently.
If a fault occurs during a thunderstorm (indirect lightening strike), function can be restored by switching the circuit breaker (fuse) off and then on.
Attention!
Inappropriate loads impair the function and efficiency of the blind. Incorrect operation and improper use void the warranty.
Technically speaking, HELLA blinds are maintenance-free.
For cleaning the coated elements such as the box, lateral guides or profiles wipe clean with lukewarm water and a neutral cleaning agent (soap based). This method can also be used for cleaning the fabric.
Please: Do not use solvent and alcohol (methylated spirits). Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
Further tips
If the blind was retracted after getting wet through rain, extend the blind at the next suitable opportunity and allow the fabric to dry.
Do not subject the blind to moisture for a prolonged period. Aggressive condensation from plaster or coating materials could cause damage through corrosion.
Ventilate regularly and dry condensation from internal metal parts.
Attention! A lowered blind does not protect children from falling out of the window.
