HELLA attaches great importance to energy saving and designs its products in such a way, that they are efficient in this field.

 

3 important terms of energy saving are

  • U (U-value): Thermal transfer coefficient in W/(m²K)
    The U-value (former k-value) specifies how much heat capacity flows through a component area of one square metre at a temperature difference of 1 K (1 Kelvin is 1 °C). With regard to the product only.
  • Psi-value: Linear thermal transfer coefficient in W/(mK)
    The Psi-value specifies how much heat capacity flows through a component with a length of 1 metre at a temperature difference of 1 K (1 Kelvin is 1 °C). Different installation details according to DIN 4108-2.
  • fRsi: Temperature factor
    Specifies the difference of minimum interior surface temperature to the exterior air temperature/difference of interior temperature to the exterior air temperature ratio.

Prevailing outside temperatures find their ways into all buildings. As long as these temperatures are agreeable, we feel comfortable indeed. Heat or the cold, however, need to be locked out. This requires cooling or heating energy. However, thanks to modern building and home technology this energy requirement can be reduced significantly - and hence costs can be lowered. HELLA sun and weather protection products reduce the energy requirement to create a comforting atmosphere by up to 50 %! There is a pleasant side effect: They are thereby protecting our nature.
